Donington Park Emergency Vehicle

Maun Motors have once again been asked to supply a new Emergency Response Unit to Donington Park Race Circuit. The vehicle; a purpose-desinged Iveco Daily Unijet; replaces the Transit van which Maun Motors supplied in 199. After many years of reliable service, it was decided that a newer, more modern vehicle was required, capable of meeting the demanding task of ensuring swift medical aid to drivers or spectators at a top-level motor racing event. We were given design criteria and succeeded in creating a vehicle which could safely and comfortably house a five-person medical team, stretcher, oxygen and first aid, tools and the special hydraulic cutting gear, for freeing trapped persons from a damaged vehicle.     The van was fitted with state-of-the-art Blue Emergency Beacons, Lamps and Siren system, before being liveried by Maun Motors, Donington Park, Iveco, Donington Park Racing Association Club and Premier Hazard; then the vehicle was delivered to Donington Park in time for the first race meet of the 2002 season. It can be seen doing safety-check laps, in-between races at Donington, with the season running from May to November annually.
